《Mounting International Criticism of U.S. for Patronizing Israel’s Aggression Heightening Tension in the Middle East》
Recently, the UN Security Council called a meeting to discuss the issues of promoting the political settlement of the Syrian issue and providing further humanitarian assistance.
The main subjects of discussion at the meeting were the issues of implementing an immediate ceasefire in Syria, ensuring lasting peace and taking urgent actions to prevent the humanitarian situation from worsening. The meeting also became an occasion of hearing an increased voice of criticism against the U.S. for openly patronizing Israel which further aggravates the situation in the Middle East.
Russia denounced the recent atrocious Israeli air raid on Aleppo and Damascus international airports in Syria.
At the same time, it strongly criticized the U.S. for illegally setting up military bases in Syria under the pretext of countering terrorism and using Israel as its shock troop for the implementation of its Middle East domination strategy.
China asserted that the UN should promote the process of political settlement in Syria based on the principles of respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity. It clarified its position of opposing the unilateral sanctions imposed on Syria and plundering of its resources by some countries.
Syria and Iran revealed that the U.S. army’s presence in Syria is the root cause of the unstable situation in the Middle East. They strongly urged the UN Security Council and the international community to take issue with the aggressive and inhumane acts perpetrated by Israel under the patronage of the U.S. and the West, and bring those responsible to account.
The world media are now commenting that the one-sided pro-Israel policy of the U.S. and its military support are the biggest malignant factors in inciting Israel to the rash expansion of an aggressive war.
Even the U.S. media have exposed the fact that the U.S. supplied countless amounts of munitions to Israel. Since the outbreak of the Middle East crisis, the U.S. has provided more than 15, 000 aerial bombs and over 57, 000 rounds of 155mm shells, including high-explosive aerial bombs used in large-scale wars.
For example, on December 1, the Israeli army dropped an aerial torpedo on a refugee camp in the Gaza Strip, claiming more than 100 innocent Palestinian lives, trumping up an excuse of an alleged violation by Hamas of the agreement on a temporary ceasefire.
Experts are expressing serious concern that the armed conflict between Palestine’s Hamas and Israel has now begun spreading towards Syria.
They blamed the U.S. for delivering to Israel high-explosive bombs with strong killing capacities which were used in the wars against Iraq and Afghanistan even though it outwardly says it wants to see minimal civilian loss in the military activities of the Israeli army.-0-

얼마전 유엔안전보장리사회에서 수리아문제의 정치적해결을 도모하며 인도주의지원을 강화하기 위한 문제를 론의하는 회의가 진행되였다.
수리아에서 즉시적인 정전을 실현하고 지속적인 평화를 보장하며 인도주의상황악화를 막기 위한 시급한 조치들을 강구할데 대한 문제들이 중요하게 론의된 회의에서는 중동지역정세를 더욱 격화시키고있는 이스라엘을 로골적으로 비호두둔한 미국의 행태를 비판하는 목소리가 고조되였다.
로씨야는 최근 수리아의 알레포, 디마스끄국제비행장들에 대한 이스라엘의 공습만행을 규탄하는 한편 반테로의 미명하에 수리아에 비법적으로 군사기지를 설치하고 이스라엘을 저들의 중동지배전략의 돌격대로 써먹고있는 미국의 책동을 강하게 비난하였다.
중국은 주권존중과 령토완정의 원칙에서 수리아의 정치적해결과정을 도모하여야 한다고 주장하면서 일부 나라들의 수리아에 대한 일방적인 제재책동과 자원략탈행위를 반대한다는 립장을 천명하였다.
수리아와 이란은 미군의 수리아주둔이 중동정세불안정의 근원으로 되고있다고 까밝히고 유엔안전보장리사회와 국제사회가 미국과 서방의 비호밑에 감행되는 이스라엘의 침략과 반인륜범죄행위에 대한 책임을 따질것을 강력히 요구하였다.
지금 외신들은 미국의 친이스라엘일변도정책과 군사적지원이 이스라엘의 무분별한 침략전쟁확대를 부추기는 최대의 악성인자이라고 평가하고있다.
미국언론들도 중동사태발생이후 미국이 항공폭탄 1만 5 000여발과 155mm포탄 5만 7 000여발을 비롯한 많은 탄약을 이스라엘에 넘겨주었으며 그중에는 대규모전쟁에 사용되는 고화력항공폭탄들이 포함되여있다는 사실을 폭로하였다.
실례로 지난 1일 이스라엘군은 하마스가 림시적인 정전합의를 위반하였다는 구실밑에 가자지대의 어느한 피난민수용소에 대형항공폭탄을 투하하여 100여명의 무고한 팔레스티나인들을 살해하였다.
전문가들은 팔레스티나의 하마스와 이스라엘사이의 무장충돌사태가 이미 수리아에로 확대되기 시작하였다고 심각한 우려를 표시하면서 미국이 겉으로는 이스라엘군의 군사행동과정에 민간인희생을 최소화하여야 한다고 떠들지만 실지에 있어서는 이스라엘에 이라크와 아프가니스탄전쟁에서 사용한 살상능력이 높은 고화력폭탄들을 넘겨주고있다고 비평하였다.(끝)
